The Critical Correction of Hariq’s Divan

Abstract
Hariq is one of the most famous poets of Kurdish literature who lived in the second half of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century. His style of speaking in poetry, especially in sonnets, is influenced by the style of Middle Kermanji poets. The main reason for its fame is due to the pure lyric poems, which contain subtle themes and lyrical and love meanings containing high mystical points. Correction of the Divan of Classical Poets is a necessity that should be done based on scientific methodology, recognizing the criteria for correction and a critical view of the text; Only with these methods can the text be corrected and the damages found in the correction be recognized and corrected scientifically and correctly. In this article, an attempt is made to critically examine the Hariq’s Divan, Kalhor’s description and a brief statement of its inadequacies and shortcomings to point out the damages that have caused the commentator to slip in reading and recording verses. In this study, it is not enough to express the mistakes that have been accepted by the narrator, and finally, he has corrected many deviant verses from this divan based on the available versions, some of which have been mentioned in this article. The Divan of Hariq has been published several times so far; In fact, in none of these editions is the method of work known, and it is unclear to the reader and researcher which version or version the proofreader has done the proofreading. Apart from these efforts, there are still many errors in the recording of poems, which are mostly due to defects in the reading of the manuscripts, changes in the tastes of the copyists and commentators. This research has studied Hariq poetry by analytical-descriptive method. Recognizing these mistakes can help other proofreaders and block the repetition of similar mistakes.
